Kumonosu Settlement Generator

Kumonosu Settlement Generator

Raise a drow settlement in the caverns: its ruling house and crest, its tunnels, beds and meals, its shrine, its people and its trouble.

Roll to raise a settlement.

How a roll works

  1. Size sets the population, the wealth odds and how many beds, meals, lieutenants and residents it has. Then the cavern it fills.
  2. Type: what the settlement lives on. A cavern the type favors counts double.
  3. Ruling house: its rank comes from the size, then every house above it, up to the Empress, who is never named. Each house rolls its own element. Ranked houses show their crest; an unaffiliated house has none.
  4. Tunnels, shelter and food. Wealth caps the tiers.
  5. Shrine: the ruling house’s element counts double, and a shrine can stand abandoned. Spirits met here share their history with Spirit Shrines.
  6. Points of interest, notable residents and a trouble or rumor, which rerolls on its own.
  7. The settlement is named for a family or for one of its points of interest.
